Step-by-step instructions

Destroy instances and pay the balance before using the cancellation page.

1
Destroy active services

Before closing, destroy all active services. Navigate to Products, click Compute, open the instance, click Destroy Server, check the confirmation prompt, and click Destroy Server.

2
Pay any outstanding balance

Vultr requires the outstanding balance to be paid in full before account closure.

3
Open the account cancellation page

Log in and visit the account cancellation page in the Vultr Console.

4
Close the account

Click Continue Closing Account, provide a reason, then click Close Account. The account and associated data are then permanently deleted.

Account deletion is irreversible and permanently deletes associated data. Stopping a server does not stop billing.
