Short answer

Cancel a Patreon membership from Settings and Memberships on patreon.com: select View Details for the creator, then Cancel membership, and repeat for each paid creator. It takes about 5 minutes, and when access ends depends on that creator's billing model. Refunds are not automatic; a request can be made from Billing History within 60 days, subject to review.

Refunds, downgrades, pausing and your data

Four questions people ask before they cancel
Can I get my money back?

Canceling stops future renewals but does not automatically refund an existing payment. Patreon lets members request a refund from Billing History within 60 days, subject to review. A per-creation membership can still have pending posts that bill after cancellation.

Refund possible
Is there a cheaper way to stay?

Instead of canceling, open Edit membership to select another tier when the creator offers one. The price and effective timing depend on the creator's billing model.

Can I pause instead of cancel?

Patreon does not offer members a universal pause control for paid creator memberships. Cancel the membership and resubscribe later if the creator still offers the tier.

What happens to my account data?

Canceling a creator membership does not delete the Patreon account. Account deletion is a separate privacy flow and cannot be reversed after processing. Patreon may retain records when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention and financial obligations.
