Refunds, downgrades, pausing and your data

Four questions people ask before they cancel
Can I get my money back?

Except where required by law, subscription fees and all other fees are non-refundable under Lovable's Terms; credits are prepaid, non-refundable and not redeemable for cash. If you cancel, remaining credits stay usable through the current billing period. Statutory consumer refund rights are not limited.

Only by law
Is there a cheaper way to stay?

The plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then the workspace moves to Free. Monthly plan and rollover credits cannot be used on Free, though purchased top-up credits stay usable until they expire, and unused paid credits reactivate if you re-subscribe before expiry. Published apps stay live and connected custom domains keep serving them.

Free tier exists
Can I pause instead of cancel?

No pause option is documented - the only documented path is downgrading to Free.

Not available
What happens to my account data?

You own your Customer Data. The privacy policy retains customer data up to 90 days before deletion or isolation, deletes personal data within 30 days of account termination (with fraud/legal exceptions), and backups may persist up to 90 days. Deleting the account (Settings → Your Account → Delete account) permanently removes it and all associated data.

Frequently asked questions

Answers checked with the steps above
Do I keep access after cancelling?

Yes. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period; only then does the workspace move to the Free plan.

What happens to my unused credits?

They stay available through the current billing period. On Free, unexpired monthly and rollover credits cannot be used, but purchased top-up credits remain usable until they expire - and unused paid credits reactivate if you re-subscribe before expiry.

Do my published apps stay online after I cancel?

Yes. Downgrading does not unpublish your project and connected custom domains keep working. Connecting a new custom domain needs a paid plan, and apps using Cloud or AI features still need available credits.

Can I get a refund?

Generally no - fees are non-refundable under the Terms except where consumer law says otherwise.

I subscribed through the iOS app. Why can't I cancel on the website?

For iOS in-app subscriptions the Manage button is hidden in the web app. Cancel through Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Lovable → Cancel Subscription.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. Plans bill monthly or annually in advance and renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can terminate your account at any time in settings.
