Step-by-step instructions

Contract and committed-use accounts are cancelled with the Databricks account team, not the Cancel plan control.

1
Contract accounts contact the account team

If you have a contract account, the self-serve Cancel plan page does not apply. Contact your Databricks account team.

2
Google Cloud uses Marketplace Cancel purchase

On GCP, cancel from the Databricks listing on Google Cloud Marketplace: manage orders, confirm the Google order number matches the account console, then Cancel purchase. Contact Databricks support afterwards if you also need the account deleted.

3
Delete the account to reuse the same email

Cancelling the plan blocks signup with the same email. To use that email again, ask the account team or file a ticket at help.databricks.com to delete the account.

Refunds, downgrades, pausing and your data

Four questions people ask before they cancel
Can I get my money back?

Databricks does not document a standard refund of already consumed pay-as-you-go DBU usage. The Master Cloud Services Agreement refunds unused prepaid fees if Databricks cannot remediate non-conforming services or if an Order ends because of Databricks' material breach.

See policy
Is there a cheaper way to stay?

New accounts start on Premium and can upgrade to Enterprise from Settings. Databricks does not document a self-serve downgrade from Enterprise to Premium. Free Edition is a separate product, not what you get after cancelling a paid plan.

Can I pause instead of cancel?

No account-level pause is documented. Terminate compute to stop DBU consumption. Cancelling the plan is permanent and cannot be reactivated.

Not available
What happens to my account data?

After you cancel, you no longer have access to workspaces, notebooks or data. Customer Content in those workspaces is deleted within 30 days. Workspace deletion is not reversible. Databricks does not clean up attached cloud resources for you.
