How do I cancel YouTube Premium?
Cancel YouTube Premium from youtube.com/paid_memberships: choose Manage membership, then Deactivate, Continue to cancel and confirm with Yes, cancel. It takes about 2 minutes and benefits normally stay active through the current billing cycle. There is normally no refund for unused time, and partly used annual or other prepaid plans are not refundable.

Step-by-step instructions
Go to youtube.com/paid_memberships and choose Manage membership for YouTube Premium.
Choose Deactivate, then Continue to cancel.
Select a reason, choose Next and then Yes, cancel.
If Apple bills it, open Settings, tap your name, choose Subscriptions and select YouTube Premium.
Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
If Google Play bills it, open subscriptions in Google Play and select YouTube Premium.
Tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions. Otherwise use YouTube Paid memberships and the Deactivate flow.

Refunds, downgrades, pausing and your data

The cancellation guide documents switching to an annual or family plan, and Premium Lite can be upgraded to Premium. No universal direct downgrade to Premium Lite is documented. Available choices depend on the current plan and billing provider.
Eligible monthly memberships can be paused for one to six months after the current billing cycle. Benefits become unavailable while paused, but downloads are retained until resumption. Annual, Apple-billed and Google Play-billed memberships cannot be paused.
Cancelling YouTube Premium does not delete the Google Account or its YouTube data. Deleting the Google Account is separate and removes account data and access to subscriptions and purchased YouTube or Google Play content.
