How do I cancel Sketch?

Short answer
Cancel Sketch on the web: sign in as a Workspace Admin, open Settings, then Billing, and click Cancel Subscription. It takes about a minute and access continues until the end of the current billing period. Monthly billing is not refunded, while annual subscriptions are refunded in full within 30 days of the initial purchase.

Step-by-step instructions
Subscribed through the Mac App Store instead? Cancel via App Store > your name > Account Settings > Subscriptions > Manage > Edit next to Sketch > Cancel Subscription. The one-time Mac-only license never auto-renews, so there is nothing to cancel.

Sign in as an Admin and select your Workspace
Go to Sketch on the web, log in as an Admin and click the Switch Workspace icon in the top left corner of the sidebar. Make sure your Workspace name is showing - only an Admin can cancel the subscription.

Open Settings, then Billing
Click the Settings icon at the top of the left sidebar, then click Billing.

Click Cancel Subscription and confirm
Click Cancel Subscription and confirm your choice in the window that appears. The confirmation prompt shows the exact date your access ends. If you never added billing details, you can simply let the trial expire instead.
Sketch permanently deletes the Workspace and all its documents 90 days after cancellation or expiry, and this cannot be undone. Download everything you need first.

Monthly billing is not refunded - you can cancel anytime and you simply are not billed again. Annual subscriptions and Mac-only licenses are fully refunded within 30 days of the initial purchase; subsequent purchases such as additional seats and renewals are not refundable. Send refund requests to Sketch support with the invoice number and the last four digits of the card used, as the original purchaser or Workspace Owner. App Store subscription refunds are handled by Apple Support.
Is there a cheaper way to stay?
There is no free plan to downgrade to. Monthly subscribers can switch to cheaper yearly billing self-serve (Billing, then Edit next to Current Plan); switching from yearly back to monthly is handled by Sketch support near the end of the billing cycle. After cancelling, the Workspace stays read-only until it is deleted.
Can I pause instead of cancel?
No pause option is documented in Sketch's help center.
What happens to my account data?
After cancellation or expiry the Workspace goes into read-only mode: documents can be viewed and downloaded but not edited, and members cannot be added or changed. A 90-day waiting period starts immediately; Sketch emails a reminder two months in, leaving a final 30 days to download documents or reactivate. After that the Workspace and all documents are permanently deleted. Support can reactivate a cancelled subscription within the 90-day window if the Workspace was not manually deleted.

No. The $120 license is a one-time purchase with one year of updates and does not auto-renew. When the year is up you can renew manually or keep using the last version you updated to.
Can I undo a cancellation?
Yes. Contact Sketch support within 90 days of cancellation or expiry to reactivate, as long as you have not manually deleted the Workspace.
