How do I cancel Figma?

Short answer
Cancel a Figma Professional plan from the team's Admin area: open the Settings tab and click Cancel plan in the Plan section, then confirm with a reason. It takes about a minute, and the team keeps Professional features until the end of the billing period before becoming a free Starter team. Subscription payments are non-refundable.

Figma's mobile app is for viewing and prototyping only - there is no app-store subscription to cancel.

Open your team in the file browser
Sign in to Figma on the web and locate your Professional team in the file browser sidebar. Only team owners and admins can cancel the plan.

Go to Admin, then Settings
Click Admin for the team, then select the Settings tab.

Click Cancel plan
It sits in the Plan section.

Confirm with a cancellation reason
Select a reason and click Cancel plan again. The team keeps Professional features until the end of the billing period, then downgrades to a free Starter team.
A Starter team over the free limits gets locked: files become effectively view-only until you reduce content. Export or move what you need before the downgrade lands.
Organization and Enterprise are billed annually and cancelled through support, not in-product.

Cancel within 30 days before the annual renewal
For annual subscriptions purchased online, Figma's renewal terms allow cancelling within the 30 days before the end of the annual term via [email protected]. Otherwise the subscription renews for another year.

Four questions people ask before they cancelCan I get my money back?
Figma states subscription payments are non-refundable. Cancelling an annual subscription does not refund the remainder of the term, and moving a user to a free View seat mid-term does not trigger a prorated refund. Seats added before a downgrade completes receive prorated credits on the final invoice.
Is there a cheaper way to stay?
After cancelling, the team keeps Professional until the end of the billing period, then becomes a free Starter team. Starter enforces strict limits (about 3 design files, 3 FigJam and 3 Slides files, one folder); an over-limit team is locked and files cannot be edited until content is reduced. Published Figma Sites are unpublished and custom domains on Figma Make apps are removed.
Can I pause instead of cancel?
No pause option is documented in Figma's help center or renewal terms.
What happens to my account data?
Downgrading does not delete anything - files remain, though a locked Starter team is effectively view-only. Account deletion is separate and permanent: cancel the paid plan first (subscriptions are not auto-cancelled on deletion), invoices become inaccessible, and a deleted member's drafts on team plans move to an admin-only folder.
