What you are cancelling

Step-by-step instructions

1
Open your organization's advanced settings

Replit documents cancelling an organization subscription through the organization's advanced settings.

2
Delete the organization

Deleting the organization cancels the subscription. All resources - Replit Apps, published apps, Projects - are deleted, and access ends immediately.

The only documented way to cancel an organization subscription is deleting the organization - which deletes all of its apps and projects immediately. Export what you need first.

Refunds, downgrades, pausing and your data

Four questions people ask before they cancel
Can I get my money back?

Replit does not publish one guaranteed subscription refund window. Its help page addresses requests made within 30 days but says the exact refund window and eligibility depend on the account and plan. Cancel in Settings → Billing first, then contact Replit support from your registered email. Agent and AI usage charges and custom domain registration fees are non-refundable.

Case by case
Is there a cheaper way to stay?

Paid features last until the end of the billing period, then the account downgrades to the free Starter plan, which keeps free daily Agent credits, the built-in database, and one published project. On Starter, published apps may become inaccessible, custom domains disconnect, and storage is reduced.

Free tier exists
Can I pause instead of cancel?

Some subscribers qualify to pause for one month instead of cancelling; the option appears during the cancel flow. The pause skips your next payment and grants no monthly credits, published projects keep running, eligible credits carry over, and usage is still billed pay-as-you-go. You can pause only once and an active pause cannot end early.

Pause possible
What happens to my account data?

Cancelling keeps your account and data on Starter. Free accounts inactive for a year may be terminated and their data deleted; paid accounts are exempt. Account deletion is a separate permanent action that deletes personal information.

Frequently asked questions

Answers checked with the steps above
Do I keep access after I cancel?

Yes. Plan features remain active through the end of the billing period, then the account moves to the free Starter plan.

What happens to my published apps when I cancel?

After the downgrade to Starter, published apps may become inaccessible, custom domain connections are removed, and storage is reduced. Download anything you want to keep first.

Can I get a refund?

Replit does not promise one universal refund window. Cancel first, then contact support from your registered email; support confirms the exact window and eligibility for your account and plan. Usage charges and domain registrations are non-refundable.

Can I pause instead of cancelling?

Some subscribers qualify for a one-month pause, offered during the cancel flow. The next payment is skipped and published projects keep running, but you can pause only once and an active pause cannot end early.

What if my payment failed and my subscription is past_due?

Replit's docs say to resolve the failed payment first, before cancelling the subscription.

Will Replit delete my free account later?

Free accounts inactive for one year may be terminated and their data deleted. Accounts with an active paid subscription are exempt.
