Open the Credits page
Sign in at openrouter.ai and go to Settings, then Credits at openrouter.ai/settings/credits. OpenRouter bills prepaid credits, not a fixed monthly plan.

Cancel Auto Recharge
You may update or cancel Auto Recharge at any time through your account page. Use the Auto Recharge controls shown there and follow the prompts.

Optionally request a credit refund
Unused purchased credits may be refunded within 24 hours via the refund button on the Credits page. Platform fees are non-refundable. Cryptocurrency payments are never refundable.

Optionally delete the account
Go to Settings at openrouter.ai/settings/preferences, click Manage Account, open the Security tab, and use the option there to delete your account. Unused credits cannot be reclaimed if you delete and later recreate the account.

Unused purchased credits may be refunded within 24 hours via the refund button on the Credits page. After 24 hours unused credits become non-refundable. Platform fees are non-refundable. Cryptocurrency payments are never refundable. Promo credits are non-refundable. Except after a Terms-violation termination, remaining credits on termination are refunded to the original payment method within 30 days.
Is there a cheaper way to stay?
There is no lower paid tier. After you stop buying credits and cancel Auto Recharge, free models remain with low rate limits (50 requests per day without a $10 credit purchase). Deleting the account is a separate action.
Can I pause instead of cancel?
No pause option is documented. Stopping new charges means cancelling Auto Recharge and not buying more credits. Unused credits may expire 365 days after purchase.
What happens to my account data?
Prompts and completions are not logged by default. You can opt in to prompt logging for a 1% discount. Deleting the account from Settings, Manage Account, Security removes it; unused credits cannot be reclaimed if you later recreate the account. Once you confirm deletion, associated personal data is deleted unless retained for regulatory, legal, or business necessity.
