How do I cancel Microsoft 365?
Cancel Microsoft 365 at account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365: select the subscription, choose Manage or Cancel subscription, then select I don't want my subscription and complete the prompts. It takes about 2 minutes, and the effective date and any refund eligibility are shown during cancellation. Direct purchases may be eligible for a refund within 30 days of the initial purchase or before first renewal, whichever is sooner.

Microsoft links to plan-switching options during cancellation. After Basic or Personal ends, storage returns to 5 GB OneDrive and 15 GB Outlook.com; Family and Premium reductions also affect shared users.
No pause option is documented for consumer Microsoft 365. Turning off recurring billing keeps benefits until the expiration date.
An over-quota account can lose upload, edit, sync and Outlook.com mail access, and Microsoft may later delete OneDrive files. Closing the Microsoft account is separate, with a selectable 30- or 60-day reopen window before permanent deletion.
