Step-by-step instructions
Honeycomb documents Update Plan and Select Plan, not a button labelled Cancel. Choose Free to leave a paid tier.
Only Team Owners can change billing settings and update plans.
Select Account (your avatar) from the navigation menu, then choose Team Settings.
On the Team Settings page, select the Billing view. It shows the current plan and billing information.
Select Update Plan. On Select Your Plan, select Select Plan next to Free or another lower plan. Follow the prompts shown there.
If a confirmation modal appears, review the current and selected plan and select Confirm. A Pro cancellation takes effect at the end of the subscription term.
Team Owners control billing and destructive actions. Team Members and Read-Only users cannot upgrade or adjust pricing.
Enterprise plans use Contact Sales. If the organization has a separate written MSA, that MSA controls instead of the public Terms of Service.

Refunds, downgrades, pausing and your data
Four questions people ask before they cancelHoneycomb Terms of Service say all fees are non-refundable and non-cancelable unless otherwise indicated in the Service. If Honeycomb terminates a current Pro plan, it will issue a pro-rated refund for the remainder of the subscription term.
You can update the plan at any time from Team Settings, Billing, Update Plan. A downgrade is charged at the new rate on the next billing cycle, with no prorating between cycles. Downgrading may reduce capacity. Free remains available after leaving Pro.
No pause or billing-hold option is documented in the pricing docs, change-plan docs, or Terms of Service.
Events and logs are kept 60 days. Time-series metrics datasets are kept 13 months by default. Retention is based on ingest date. After a plan change, existing data is kept up to the applicable retention period. After termination, access to Customer Data ends and Honeycomb may delete it. You can delete datasets in the product. Account-information deletion can be requested at [email protected].
