How do I cancel Fivetran?

Cancel Fivetran from the Billing tab: under Billing details, click Manage plan, then Cancel plan at the bottom of the page. It takes up to 10 minutes to show on the dashboard. Fivetran's public billing docs do not document a general self-serve refund window; monthly PAYG is billed in arrears for the prior month.

Sign in as Account Administrator or Account Billing
Only those roles can open the Billing tab.

Open Account Settings, then Billing
In the left menu open Account Settings and go to Billing & Usage, then the Billing tab.

Click Manage plan, then Cancel plan
If you purchased Fivetran online, under Billing details click Manage plan, then Cancel plan at the bottom of the page. Later confirmation labels are not published.

Wait for the dashboard to update
Cancellation can take up to 10 minutes to be effective and show on the dashboard. Online plans renew monthly until cancelled.
Annual contracted spend and marketplace billing are not cancelled with the dashboard Cancel plan button.

Annual or sales-assisted accounts contact Customer Success
Dashboard plan conversions are not available for sales-assisted accounts. Pricing says to contact your customer success manager if you are not on a credit-card subscription.

Marketplace purchases cancel in the cloud console
Cancel the AWS, Google Cloud or Azure Marketplace subscription in that console. Billing stops at the end of the billing period unless another Fivetran billing method is still active.

Public billing docs do not document a general self-serve refund for ordinary usage. Monthly PAYG is billed in arrears for the prior month. Marketplace cancellation stops billing at the end of the billing period. Unused annual committed spend can expire at contract end.
Is there a cheaper way to stay?
Monthly and Free accounts can change plan from Billing via Manage plan. Downgrades show Confirm downgrade prompts and require dropping exclusive features first. Fivetran bills the cheapest plan rate for the whole month when you switch plans. Sales-assisted and marketplace accounts cannot convert plans in the dashboard.
Can I pause instead of cancel?
No pause option is documented for paid subscriptions. A trial pause is only described as asking a product specialist during evaluation.
What happens to my account data?
Cancelling a paid online plan is documented only as taking up to 10 minutes to show on the dashboard. The public cancel article does not say whether the account stays on the Free plan or how long connection configuration is kept. Deleting a user is a separate Account Settings action and does not cancel the plan.
