Leave the paid plan from account settings
The terms say a self-serve customer may terminate at any time via the settings in the Customer's Account, and that moving from a paid plan to a free plan takes effect on expiry of the then-current Billing Period. Follow the subscription controls shown on the Plans tab; Trigger.dev does not publish a separate Cancel button label.
A move from paid to Free takes effect at the end of the current billing period, not immediately.

Service fees, including overage fees, are non-refundable except where a bug or defect in Trigger.dev caused runs to execute when they should not have executed. Fees from your own configuration or use, including runs you triggered, runs that took longer than expected, and usage you could have limited, are not eligible. Request an eligible refund at [email protected] with details of the affected runs.
Is there a cheaper way to stay?
Moving from a paid plan to Free takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Until then the paid plan continues. Free remains available after that with Free-plan limits.
Can I pause instead of cancel?
No subscription pause option is documented. Billing limits in Organization Settings can cap spend; they are not a pause of the subscription.
What happens to my account data?
On termination, licences end and access to the service ends. You may request that Customer Data is actively deleted, passively deleted or parked under Trigger.dev's Data Deletion Policy. If you make no election, Customer Data is subject to passive deletion.
