There is nothing to cancel: Photopea Premium is a one-time prepaid purchase for 30, 90 or 365 days, not a subscription. Refunds can be requested by emailing [email protected], with at most one refund per customer.

What you are cancelling

Free ad-supported online image editor that opens PSD files in the browser. Premium removes ads, adds 3,000 AI credits a month and doubles history steps - sold as one-time prepaid periods, not a subscription. This guide covers every place the subscription can live - the website - plus what happens to refunds, pausing and your data afterwards.

Step-by-step instructions

Team of 5/20/50 packs use the same prepaid model as single-user Premium - they also expire on their own.

1
There is nothing to cancel

Photopea Premium is not a subscription. The in-app pricing window states 'No subscription, just one-time payments' - you pay once for 30, 90 or 365 days and no renewal is ever charged.

2
Check when your Premium ends

Open photopea.com and click Account at the top (it shows green while Premium is active). Premium lasts for the number of days you paid for: after that, you are switched back to the free version (with ads) automatically.

3
Contact support if something looks wrong

Premium is tied to the email address you log in with. If you log in through a different service (for example Google instead of Facebook) with a different email, your Premium will not show up - email [email protected] to transfer it.

Because there is no auto-renewal, letting Premium lapse costs nothing - but the ads return and monthly AI credits stop as soon as the prepaid period ends.

Refunds, downgrades, pausing and your data

Four questions people ask before they cancel
Can I get my money back?

Photopea's in-app payment terms say you can ask for a refund by emailing [email protected]. They grant at most one refund per customer: if you have been refunded in the past, you cannot get another refund. Payments are processed instantly by card via ComGate and Premium activates instantly.

See policy
Is there a cheaper way to stay?

Automatic. When the prepaid period ends the account switches back to the free version with ads. The free editor keeps working; you lose the ad-free experience, the 3,000 monthly AI credits and the doubled history steps. Premium users who run out of AI credits can connect their own Dezgo API key under Edit - Preferences instead of buying more.

Free tier exists
Can I pause instead of cancel?

Not applicable. Premium is a prepaid one-time purchase with no recurring billing, so there is nothing to pause and no pause option is documented.

Not available
What happens to my account data?

Files you open in Photopea never leave your device - they are processed entirely locally, per the privacy policy. The account database stores only your email and the date your Premium ends, plus environment preferences and payment records for logged-in users. Accounts inactive for six months are deleted automatically, and you can request immediate deletion of all personal data by emailing [email protected].

Frequently asked questions

Answers checked with the steps above
Does Photopea Premium renew automatically?

No. The in-app pricing states 'No subscription, just one-time payments'. Premium lasts for the 30, 90 or 365 days you paid for, then you are switched back to the free version with ads. Nothing is ever charged again.

How do I stop paying for Photopea?

Do nothing. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal, so no cancellation exists - your Premium simply expires at the end of the prepaid period.

Can I get a refund for Photopea Premium?

You can ask by emailing [email protected]. Photopea's payment terms grant at most one refund per customer - if you have been refunded before, you cannot get another one.

What happens when my Premium expires?

The editor keeps working for free, but ads return, the 3,000 monthly AI credits stop and the extended history is reduced. The Account button stops showing green.

I paid for Premium but it does not show up. Why?

Premium is tied to the exact email you log in with. Logging in through a different service with a different email address will not show your Premium - log in the original way, or email [email protected] to transfer it.

Does Photopea keep my files or data?

Files never leave your device - they are processed locally in the browser. The server stores only account basics (email, Premium end date, preferences, payment records). Inactive accounts are deleted after six months, and you can request immediate deletion via [email protected].
