Step-by-step instructions

Cancelling the paid plan means switching to Starter. Exact Starter-button labels are not published.

1
Open Usage and billing

Sign in to the Koyeb control panel and open the organization's Usage and billing page.

2
Delete resources that exceed Starter limits

The pricing FAQ says you must delete extra resources before leaving Pro or Scale.

3
Switch to the Starter plan

Change the organization from Pro or Scale to Starter. The docs do not publish the exact downgrade button label; follow the prompts on that page. You must wait 5 minutes between plan changes.

4
Pause or delete leftover paid Services

Starter still bills usage beyond the free Instance. Paused Services are not charged.

The pricing FAQ credits unused plan time. The Master Services Agreement says paid fees are not refundable. Running compute still bills on Starter.

Refunds, downgrades, pausing and your data

Four questions people ask before they cancel
Can I get my money back?

Koyeb's pricing FAQ says that if you cancel a paid plan before month-end you are credited the remaining balance, and the pricing page says the subscription ends immediately with a prorated credit. The Master Services Agreement says sums paid are not refundable.

No refunds
Is there a cheaper way to stay?

Switching to Starter removes the Pro or Scale fee. Starter has no baseline cost and keeps the free Instance. Mid-month switches are prorated, and unused paid-plan time is credited according to the pricing FAQ.

Free tier exists
Can I pause instead of cancel?

No pause is documented for the Pro or Scale plan fee. Individual Services can be paused, and Koyeb says you are not charged for paused Services.

Not available
What happens to my account data?

Deactivating an organization deletes its Apps, Services, Secrets, Domains, GitHub app and API credentials, and can be reversed. Deleting an organization removes billing information. Deleting a user account permanently deletes the account and sole-member organizations, and is blocked if those organizations have unpaid invoices or running resources. The MSA keeps Content for 7 days after termination for export, then deletes it except where law requires retention.

Frequently asked questions

Answers checked with the steps above
How do I cancel Koyeb Pro or Scale?

Open Usage and billing and switch the organization to Starter after deleting any resources that exceed Starter limits.

Do I get a refund?

The pricing FAQ says unused paid-plan time is credited if you cancel before month-end. The Master Services Agreement says fees are not refundable.

Will I still be billed on Starter?

You will not pay the Pro or Scale fee. Usage beyond the free Instance and free Postgres allowances is still billed.

Does pausing a Service cancel the plan?

No. Pausing stops compute charges for that Service. The plan fee continues until you switch to Starter.

How do I delete my account?

In account settings, General tab, Danger zone, choose Delete account. Unpaid invoices or running resources on a sole-member organization block deletion.
