How do I cancel Kamatera?

Short answer
Cancel Kamatera in the console: under My Cloud, Servers, power off the server, choose Terminate Server, then open User Profile, Account Status, and click Disable My Account. It takes about 5 minutes after servers and debt are cleared. Hourly services stop when terminated; monthly services are not refunded for the current prepaid month.

Use the official console labels: Power Off, Terminate Server, Disable My Account.

Terminate every server
Log in to the console, open My Cloud, then Servers. Click Action, Power Off (the server must be off), then Action, Terminate Server, check the box, and click Terminate Server.

Clear any debt
The account can be disabled only when there are no active servers and no debt.

Open User Profile
Go to the User Profile page and scroll to Account Status.

Click Disable My Account
Click Disable My Account, then confirm Disable account. The disabled account is no longer valid or active.
Cancelling the account can cause loss of stored information. Kamatera keeps a copy for financial and tax purposes.

Prices and fees are non-refundable unless expressly noted. Hourly services stop charging once terminated. Monthly services receive no refund for the current prepaid month. A $10 trial deposit is returned if the account is cancelled within the 30-day trial.
Is there a cheaper way to stay?
No long-term commitment is required. You can scale up or down at any time. After you terminate a monthly server you still pay the current month, then later months are not charged.
Can I pause instead of cancel?
No account-level pause is documented. Power Off is required before Terminate Server. Hourly servers can have different powered-on and powered-off rates until they are terminated.
What happens to my account data?
A disabled account is no longer valid or active. Kamatera keeps a copy of the account for financial and tax regulatory purposes under its GDPR and DPA rules. The Terms warn that cancelling may cause loss of stored information and data.
