Step-by-step instructions

1
Open Billing

Sign in to Docker Home, choose the personal account or organization that owns the subscription, then go to Billing.

2
Open the active plan action

On the Billing Overview page, find the subscription under Active plans and use the action menu or Manage button to open the available plan actions.

3
Cancel auto-renewal

Choose the available cancellation action and follow the confirmation prompts. Self-serve subscriptions can be cancelled any time before renewal and remain active through the current subscription period.

Cancelling a subscription does not deactivate the Docker account or delete personal data. Those are separate actions.

Refunds, downgrades, pausing and your data

Four questions people ask before they cancel
Can I get my money back?

Self-serve subscriptions are not eligible for refunds outside Docker's 15-day refund window. The Subscription Service Agreement states that payments are otherwise non-refundable, and unused portions of removed Team or Business seats are not refunded.

Refund possible
Is there a cheaper way to stay?

A cancelled eligible self-serve subscription ends at the end of its subscription period. Docker Personal is the free individual plan; active paid subscriptions must be downgraded to Personal before an individual account can be deactivated. Team and Business customers lose paid entitlements when their paid plan ends.

Can I pause instead of cancel?

Docker subscriptions cannot be paused or delayed. Downgrading is the documented alternative.

Not available
What happens to my account data?

Cancelling a plan is separate from account deactivation. Account deactivation is permanent and removes access to Docker products but does not delete personal data; a separate Docker Privacy request is required for personal-data deletion. Back up images and tags before deactivation.

Frequently asked questions

Answers checked with the steps above
Where do I cancel Docker Pro?

In Docker Home, select the personal account, open Billing, find Pro under Active plans, and use its action menu or Manage button to cancel.

When does Docker cancellation take effect?

A self-serve cancellation stops renewal and the paid subscription remains active through its current subscription period.

Can I get a Docker refund?

Docker says self-serve subscriptions are not refundable outside its 15-day refund window. Other payments are generally non-refundable.

Can I pause Docker?

No. Docker explicitly says subscriptions cannot be paused or delayed; downgrade instead.

Does cancelling Docker delete my account?

No. Account deactivation is separate, permanent, and does not itself delete personal data. A separate privacy request is required for data deletion.

Is there a free Docker plan after cancellation?

Docker Personal is the free individual plan. Team and Business customers lose their paid organization entitlements when the subscription ends.
