Cancel Cursor from the billing dashboard at cursor.com/dashboard/billing: click Manage Subscription, then Cancel Subscription and confirm. It takes about a minute, and paid features stay until the end of the current billing period. Refunds cover only the most recent payment, and only if the charge is under 14 days old and the subscription was unused that period.

AI code editor by Anysphere with an agent, chat and tab completions built in. This guide covers every place the subscription can live - the website, the iPhone and iPad app, and team plans - plus what happens to refunds, pausing and your data afterwards.
Use this if you subscribed at cursor.com and your receipts come from Cursor (via Stripe).
Sign in and go to cursor.com/dashboard/billing.
This opens Cursor's Stripe billing portal, the same place invoices and payment methods live.
You keep paid features until the end of the current billing period and are not charged again.
Use this if you subscribed inside the iOS app - Apple bills those and only Apple can stop them.
Cursor's docs state that iOS in-app subscriptions are managed by Apple, so Cursor cannot cancel an in-app plan for you.
This lists everything billed through your Apple account.
If there is no Cancel button, or an expiration date shows in red text, the subscription is already cancelled.
Cancelling on cursor.com does not stop an Apple in-app subscription, and Cursor cannot refund one - Apple is the merchant of record.
Cursor documents four reasons the cancel button can be unavailable: a lapsed plan, unpaid invoices, not being a team admin, or an iOS subscription.
Only team administrators can access billing controls; regular members cannot cancel the plan.

Refunds cover only the most recent payment, and only if the charge is under 14 days old and the subscription was unused that billing period. Request one from support while signed in; approved refunds return to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Cancelling by itself never refunds a processed charge, on-demand usage is non-refundable once consumed, and Apple in-app purchases can only be refunded by Apple.
Instead of cancelling you can schedule a downgrade to a cheaper plan; it takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. After cancellation the account reverts to the free Hobby plan, which keeps Agent, Chat and Tab completions with limited usage on the Auto model.
No pause option is documented. Cursor's billing docs describe cancelling and scheduled downgrades only.
Cancelling does not delete your account or any local files. Deleting the account (dashboard → Advanced Account Settings → Delete Account) is permanent: Cursor removes your profile, conversation logs, preferences and indexed codebases within 30 days. Code on your machine is untouched either way.
