Refunds, downgrades, pausing and your data

Four questions people ask before they cancel
Can I get my money back?

Superhuman's terms say payments are non-refundable and unused subscription periods are not refunded. For standalone Pro and Team or Business Docs workspaces, removing Doc Makers or cancelling creates a prorated credit on the workspace billing account for possible future charges instead of a cash refund.

No refunds
Is there a cheaper way to stay?

A standalone workspace stays paid until the end of the billing period, then moves to Free. Users have a 14-day grace period to remove paid features before affected docs become read-only. Bundled Docs billing is changed through the Superhuman subscription, and Enterprise customers must contact their account team or support.

Free tier exists
Can I pause instead of cancel?

No subscription pause option is documented in the current Superhuman Docs downgrade, billing, or subscription-management documentation.

Not available
What happens to my account data?

Cancelling or downgrading does not delete the workspace, account, or docs. Account deletion is currently requested through [email protected] and permanently deletes account data and docs owned by that account. Workspace deletion is separate, requires moving or deleting all docs and templates first, and requires the workspace to be on Free.

Frequently asked questions

Answers checked with the steps above
Is Coda now called Superhuman Docs?

Yes. Coda became Superhuman Docs on July 8, 2026. Existing docs and workflows continue under the new name.

Who can cancel a Superhuman Docs workspace?

A workspace admin can downgrade a standalone workspace. Bundled subscriptions are managed through the Superhuman Subscription page.

Does cancellation take effect immediately?

No. A standalone workspace keeps its paid plan through the current billing period, then moves to Free.

Does Superhuman Docs issue refunds?

Payments are non-refundable. Standalone Docs billing applies a prorated account credit for unused workspace charges instead of a cash refund.

What happens to docs after downgrading?

The docs remain. There is a 14-day grace period to remove paid features before affected docs can become read-only.

How do I delete my Superhuman Docs account?

Self-serve deletion is temporarily paused. Contact [email protected]; deletion is permanent and removes account data and docs you own.
