Personal subscriptions are cancelled in the Bitwarden web app.

Open Subscription
In the Bitwarden web app, go to Settings, then Subscription.

Check the Next charge date
The Next charge date is when paid features will end after cancellation.

Select Cancel subscription
Confirm the cancellation. The account stays in Pending cancellation until the Next charge date, then moves to a free account.
Only an organization owner can access and cancel its subscription.

Use the product switcher to open the Admin Console. Only organization owners can access the subscription page.

Open Billing, then Subscription
Note the Subscription expiration date, then scroll down.

Select Cancel subscription
Confirm the cancellation. The organization remains Pending cancellation until the expiration date, when the subscription ends.

Is there a cheaper way to stay?
A cancelled personal subscription moves to a free account on the Next charge date. Organization subscriptions end on the Subscription expiration date. Choosing a lower service level can remove access to paid content, features or capacity.
Can I pause instead of cancel?
No subscription pause option is documented in Bitwarden's official pricing, cancellation, terms or billing pages. Before the term ends, a pending cancellation can be reversed with Reinstate Subscription.
What happens to my account data?
Cancelling the subscription does not delete the account or organization. Deletion is separate and permanent, cannot be undone or restored, and deletes all associated vault data.
