# How to cancel Zencastr

Cancel Zencastr from the Dashboard by opening your avatar, Settings and Payment, then clicking Cancel Plan and confirming Downgrade Plan. It takes about 2 minutes. A paid plan stays active until the billing cycle ends, then becomes the free Hobbyist plan. Trial cancellation is immediate.

## Cancel in a web browser

1. **Open Payment settings** Sign in, click your avatar at the bottom of the Dashboard sidebar, select Settings, then open the Payment tab.
2. **Click Cancel Plan** Next to the current paid plan, click Cancel Plan.
3. **Confirm the downgrade** Choose a cancellation reason, add optional comments and click Downgrade Plan.

## Cancel a team plan

1. **Use the billing owner** The account owner should cancel and download any recordings the team needs before deleting the account.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data
