# How to cancel Whimsical

Cancel Whimsical from the workspace Billing page: next to the current plan, open Manage plan and choose Cancel plan. It takes about a minute, and paid benefits continue through the current billing cycle before the workspace moves to Free. Refunds are issued only at Whimsical's discretion.

## Cancel in a web browser

1. **Open Billing** Open the menu under the workspace name in the top-left corner, then select Billing. Only workspace admins can access this page.
2. **Open Manage plan** Next to the current plan, select Manage plan.
3. **Choose Cancel plan** Select Cancel plan from the dropdown. Paid benefits remain available until the end of the billing cycle already paid for.

## Cancel a team plan

1. **Ask a workspace admin** Only workspace admins can access the subscription page and cancel the workspace subscription.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Whimsical's terms say refunds are issued only at its discretion. No fixed cancellation refund window is published.
- **Pausing:** No subscription pause option is documented in Whimsical's billing help or terms.
- **Downgrading:** At the end of the paid billing cycle, the workspace moves to Free. Existing files remain intact, but the Free plan's limits replace paid features. A final invoice may still be issued for editors added before cancellation.
- **Account data:** Cancelling does not delete workspace files. Account deletion is a separate permanent action in Settings under Account. Deleting a workspace is also separate and completely deletes that workspace for every member after confirmation.
