# How to cancel Typeform

Cancel Typeform from Plan & Billing by choosing Cancel my plan, selecting Free and completing the survey and confirmation. It takes about 3 minutes, and paid features remain until the prepaid period ends before the account moves to Free. Typeform does not refund the remaining contracted period.

## Cancel in a web browser

> The cancellation flow is a downgrade to Free in Plan & Billing.

1. **Open Plan & Billing** Sign in, select the organization icon at the top left and choose Plan & Billing.
2. **Choose the Free plan** Select Cancel my plan, choose Free and select Get Free to start the downgrade.
3. **Complete the survey and confirmation** Select Continue to survey, submit the complete survey, check the confirmation box and select Cancel my plan.

## Cancel a team plan

1. **Review seats and paid form features** Export responses if needed and identify paid features or extra team seats that will stop working on Free.
2. **Choose Free in Plan & Billing** Open Cancel my plan, choose Free and select Get Free.
3. **Finish every confirmation step** Submit the complete survey, check the confirmation box and select Cancel my plan. Verify the confirmation email arrives.

> **Warning:** Extra seats are removed and paid-feature forms can stop accepting new responses.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Typeform does not issue refunds for a plan canceled before the contracted period ends. Paid features remain available through the prepaid term.
- **Pausing:** Typeform says prepaid subscriptions cannot currently be paused and recommends downgrading instead.
- **Downgrading:** Cancellation moves the account to Free at term end. Forms using paid features can enter trial mode and stop accepting answers until those features are removed. Extra team seats are removed to meet the new limit.
- **Account data:** Forms and collected responses remain after downgrade. Permanent account deletion is separate and irreversible, removes the account, forms and responses, and has no backup or recovery option.
