# How to cancel Tidio

Cancel Tidio from Settings > Billing > Subscription, then click Cancel subscription and confirm. It takes about 2 minutes, paid features remain until the next payment date, and the project then switches to Free. Tidio does not refund the current paid period.

## Cancel in a web browser

> Customer Service, Lyro AI Agent and Flows are separate packages inside one Tidio subscription.

1. **Open Billing** Go to Settings > Billing for the Tidio project.
2. **Open Subscription** Select the Subscription tab and scroll to the bottom.
3. **Cancel and confirm** Click Cancel subscription and confirm. Paid access continues until the next payment date, then the project switches to Free.

> **Warning:** Hiding or uninstalling the website widget does not cancel billing. Use the Subscription tab first.

## Cancel a team plan

> Plus and Premium can require the dedicated manager or support for changes.

1. **Plus and Premium: contact the dedicated team** Custom Plus and Premium subscriptions may only be editable through the dedicated manager or Tidio support at support@tidio.net.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Cancellation does not refund the current paid period. Tidio says the customer keeps what was paid for and remains on the paid plan until the next payment is due; support handles refund questions.
- **Pausing:** Tidio describes cancellation to Free as the way to pause use temporarily. The widget can be hidden separately while the Free project remains available for a later return.
- **Downgrading:** Cancellation switches the project to the Free plan after the current billing period. Individual Customer Service, Lyro and Flows packages can also be upgraded or downgraded from Edit subscription; Plus and Premium may require support.
- **Account data:** Cancellation does not delete the project. The Project Owner can permanently delete it from Settings > Preferences after the subscription is cancelled and the widget is uninstalled; deleting a project removes its agents and collected data from Tidio's database.
