# How to cancel Tally

Cancel Tally from Settings > Billing > Manage subscription. It takes about a minute, and paid features remain available until the prepaid period ends before the workspace returns to Free. Tally generally does not refund unused subscription time.

## Cancel in a web browser

> The self-serve route starts in Settings > Billing.

1. **Open Billing** Sign in, open Settings and select Billing.
2. **Open Manage subscription** Select Manage subscription to open the subscription controls.
3. **Cancel and confirm** Choose the cancellation option and confirm. Paid access remains until the prepaid period ends.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Tally generally does not refund cancellations or unused subscription time. It reviews refunds for prolonged technical access issues.
- **Pausing:** No subscription pause option is documented in Tally's billing, pricing, account or terms pages.
- **Downgrading:** Cancellation ends renewal and paid features remain available until the prepaid period ends, after which the workspace returns to Free.
- **Account data:** Cancelling does not delete the account. Separate account deletion permanently removes the account, forms, workspaces and submissions and cannot be undone.
