# How to cancel Sunsama

Cancel Sunsama from Settings > Billing > Manage Billing, then finish the cancellation in the customer portal. It takes about 2 minutes, and access continues until the end of the billing cycle. Sunsama provides no refunds, and workspace data is permanently deleted 30 days after the subscription ends unless you resubscribe or start a new trial.

## Cancel in a web browser

> Sunsama documents web billing by bank-issued card only. No App Store or Google Play subscription path is documented.

1. **Open Sunsama settings** Click Sunsama in the top-left corner, then select Settings.
2. **Open Billing** Select Billing, then click Manage Billing to open the customer portal.
3. **Cancel in the customer portal** Use the subscription controls, provide the requested cancellation reason and confirm. Sunsama says the cancel button follows immediately after the reason.
4. **Note the end date** Access continues until the end of the billing cycle. The subscription then stops renewing.

> **Warning:** Export important task data before access ends. Sunsama schedules workspace data for permanent deletion 30 days after the subscription ends.

## Cancel a team plan

> Only the workspace owner or an admin can manage and cancel billing.

1. **Use an owner or admin account** Only a workspace owner or admin can cancel workspace billing. Members can leave the workspace instead.
2. **Open the billing portal** Click Sunsama in the top-left corner, then Settings, Billing and Manage Billing.
3. **Cancel the workspace subscription** Complete the cancellation in the customer portal. Enterprise customers with custom billing can contact support@sunsama.com for help.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Sunsama's terms say all purchases are final and no refunds are provided. Its billing guide documents a credit when switching from annual to monthly billing, but that is a plan-change credit rather than a cancellation refund.
- **Pausing:** No subscription pause option is documented in Sunsama's pricing page, billing guide, workspace settings or terms.
- **Downgrading:** Sunsama has no free-forever plan. After cancellation, access remains until the billing cycle ends. Starting a new subscription or new free trial within the following 30 days prevents the scheduled workspace-data deletion.
- **Account data:** Thirty days after a cancelled subscription ends, Sunsama permanently deletes the workspace data unless a new subscription or new trial is started. Account deletion is separate and irreversible in Account Settings. It permanently deletes the account and associated data, and for a sole workspace member also cancels the paid subscription. Export task data as CSV or JSON first.
