# How to cancel Stytch

Cancel Stytch by emailing at least 30 days written notice to legalnotices@twilio.com. It takes a few minutes to send, and the Twilio Terms (now the Stytch contract) end 30 days later unless an order form still has time left. Fees already paid are non-refundable.

Authentication platform for consumer and B2B apps, with passwordless login, SSO, SCIM, MFA and organizations. Stytch customers are now under the Twilio Terms of Service.

## Cancel in a web browser

> Stytch's terms URL now serves the Twilio Terms of Service. Use legalnotices@twilio.com for termination notice.

1. **Review workspace billing** Admins manage billing at stytch.com/dashboard/settings/billing. That page is documented for a payment method and add-ons, not as a cancel button.
2. **Email 30 days written notice to Twilio** stytch.com/legal/terms-of-service now redirects to the Twilio Terms of Service. Either party may terminate for convenience with at least 30 days prior written notice to legalnotices@twilio.com.
3. **If an order form is in place, wait for that term** If any Order Forms are in effect, the Twilio Terms stay in force until those Order Forms expire or are terminated under their own terms.

> **Warning:** The Stytch Dashboard billing page is not documented as a cancel-subscription control.

## Cancel a team plan

1. **Only Admins manage billing and project deletion** Manage Workspace Billing and Delete Projects are Admin-only. Deleting a project removes that project and its environments. Public docs do not treat project deletion as terminating the Twilio agreement.
2. **Enterprise and invoice accounts** Enterprise pricing is custom. Invoice payment follows Twilio's terms, including non-refundable fees. Order-form terms control if they conflict.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Twilio Terms of Service, which now govern Stytch customers, state that payment obligations are non-cancelable and that fees, once paid, are non-refundable. Charge disputes must be raised in writing within 60 days of the billing date.
- **Pausing:** No pause option is documented.
- **Downgrading:** There is no lower paid plan. Pay as you go already starts at $0, with overage only when you exceed the included 10,000 MAUs, 5 SSO or SCIM connections or 1,000 M2M tokens. Turning off paid add-ons from the Billing page is not documented as terminating the account.
- **Account data:** The current Twilio Terms do not publish a Stytch-specific retention clock. The Delete Project API deletes a project and all of its environments. The superseded Stytch Terms said the right to use the Services ends immediately on termination. Export data before you send notice if you need a copy.

## FAQ

**How do I cancel Stytch?**

Send at least 30 days written notice to legalnotices@twilio.com. Stytch's own terms of service URL now serves the Twilio Terms.

**When does cancellation take effect?**

At least 30 days after written notice, unless an Order Form sets a longer remaining term.

**Can I get a refund?**

No. Twilio's terms say fees once paid are non-refundable.

**If I drop below 10,000 MAUs do I still pay?**

Stytch says you pay only for what you use above the included allowances. That is usage, not account termination.

**Who can change billing?**

Only the Admin Dashboard role can manage workspace billing or delete projects.

**Does deleting a project cancel Stytch?**

Deleting a project removes that project and its environments. Public docs do not treat that as terminating the Twilio Terms.
