# How to cancel SquadCast

Cancel SquadCast through Descript because SquadCast is included in the Descript subscription and is not billed separately. In App Settings, select the Drive, open Plan, click Change plan and choose Downgrade to Free. Only the Drive owner can cancel, and the downgrade occurs at cycle end.

## Cancel in a web browser

1. **Open Descript App Settings** Sign in on the Descript web or desktop app and open App Settings.
2. **Select the billed Drive** Choose the Drive whose plan includes SquadCast, then open its Plan tab. Only the Drive owner can make this change.
3. **Choose Downgrade to Free** Click Change plan, select Downgrade to Free, give the required reason and continue until Descript confirms cancellation.

## Cancel a team plan

1. **Use the Drive owner** Only the Descript Drive owner can change the plan or make a support-assisted cancellation request.
2. **Check Enterprise terms** Enterprise customers should follow their custom agreement and contact their account representative.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Descript permits a subscription-plan refund request within 48 hours of the invoice and an editor-seat refund request within 7 days. It gives no prorated refund for unused time after cancellation or downgrade.
