# How to cancel Runway

Cancel Runway from the Billing settings page in the web app: click Cancel plan, submit the feedback and confirm the cancellation in Stripe. It takes about 2 minutes and paid features remain until the end of the current billing cycle. Runway may grant a refund within 30 days when a plan is unused or close to unused.

## Cancel in a web browser

1. **Open Billing** Sign in to Runway and open the Billing settings page.
2. **Click Cancel plan** Choose Cancel plan for the active subscription.
3. **Submit feedback** Complete the requested feedback and click Continue to cancel plan.
4. **Confirm in Stripe** Click Confirm cancellation in the Stripe confirmation screen.

> **Warning:** After the paid term, Free limits and watermarks apply to retained projects and assets.

## Cancel on iPhone / iPad

> Use Apple Subscriptions only when Apple billed the purchase.

1. **Open iPhone Settings** For an Apple-billed plan, open Settings and tap your name.
2. **Open Subscriptions** Tap Subscriptions and select Runway.
3. **Cancel the subscription** Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the confirmation prompts.

## Cancel on Android

> Use Google Play only when Google billed the purchase.

1. **Open Google Play subscriptions** For a Google Play purchase, sign in to the correct Google Account and open Subscriptions in Google Play.
2. **Select Runway** Choose the Runway subscription.
3. **Cancel the subscription** Tap Cancel subscription and follow the on-screen instructions.

## Cancel a team plan

1. **Contact the Account Manager** Enterprise customers manage subscription changes through their Runway Account Manager and contract.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Runway may grant a refund when a plan was purchased or renewed within 30 days and is unused or close to unused, for unused credit purchases within 30 days, or for the difference after choosing the wrong plan. An approved plan refund ends paid access immediately and removes unused plan credits. Apple and Google Play purchases use the store's refund process.
- **Pausing:** No pause or hold option is documented in Runway's current subscription-management and cancellation guidance.
- **Downgrading:** Use Billing, Update Plan, select a cadence and plan, then confirm. A mid-cycle unused balance becomes account credit toward the next cycle. Cancellation changes the account to Free after the paid period.
- **Account data:** Projects and assets remain after cancellation, but Free limits apply and an account with more than three projects cannot create more. Purchased credits remain, while Free feature limits and watermarks apply. Account deletion is separate, permanent, and makes assets unrecoverable.
