## Cancel in a web browser

> Pro is billed per workspace and uses the same billing page - there is no separate team cancellation flow.

1. **Open your workspace Billing page** Sign in and go to railway.com/workspace/billing.
2. **Go to the Active Plan section** It shows your current subscription.
3. **Click Cancel Plan** Railway stops all deployments in your workspace immediately to prevent further charges; the plan itself stays active until the end of the billing cycle.
4. **Optionally remove your payment method** Once cancelled with no pending invoices, click Delete in the payment method section to remove your saved card.

> **Warning:** Cancelling stops all deployments in the workspace immediately, not at the end of the period. You may also still receive an invoice for usage consumed earlier in the cycle.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Refunds are discretionary, aimed at new customers who tried Railway and no longer want it, and limited to one per customer; consumed resource usage is generally not refunded. Request one via Workspace Settings → Billing using the refund button next to the invoice - if no button appears, you are ineligible. Approved refunds take roughly 5–10 business days, and Railway may take services offline immediately after refunding.
- **Pausing:** No pause option is documented - the docs describe only cancelling or downgrading.
- **Downgrading:** Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Plans are managed at railway.com/workspace/plans. When you cancel, deployments stop and an invoice for already-consumed usage may still follow.
- **Account data:** Railway deletes platform data after warning: 30 days after expiry on Free/Trial, 60 days after cancellation on Hobby, 90 days on Pro. Deleting your account (Account Settings → Delete Account) removes all account information and project data.
