# How to cancel Mux

Cancel Mux from the Billing and Payments section under Account Settings in your Mux account, at least 60 days before the current Subscription Period ends. Access continues through that paid period. Fees are non-refundable except a pro-rated refund if you terminate for Mux's material breach.

## Cancel in a web browser

> Invoice customers pay by ACH or wire within 30 days of invoice unless the Order says otherwise.

1. **Open Billing and Payments** Sign in at dashboard.mux.com. Terms section 4.4: cancellation information is in the Billing and Payments section of your Mux account. The 4 Apr 2022 changelog places billing pages in Account Settings under Billing. Follow the cancellation prompts shown there. Mux does not publish a Cancel button label.
2. **Cancel at least 60 days before period end** Unless an Order says otherwise, each Order renews for successive periods equal to the initial Subscription Period until cancelled by Mux or you at least 60 days before the end of the current Subscription Period.
3. **Send written notice if you are terminating the Terms** Section 6.1 allows either party to terminate the Terms by written notice under Notices, for any reason. ## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated. If you terminate an Order for Mux's material breach, Mux provides a pro-rated refund of prepaid fees for the unused portion of the Subscription Period. Mux may also pro-rate prepaid fees if it terminates access for infringement and cannot reasonably replace the service.
- **Pausing:** No subscription pause option is documented on the public terms or pricing pages.
- **Downgrading:** Free remains listed: 100K monthly delivery minutes and up to 10 stored videos, on-demand only. Docs say you can upgrade to pre-pay credits at any time, and encourage staying on pay-as-you-go if expected spend is under $40. Stopping Launch or Scale is through Billing and Payments, not a published downgrade button label.
- **Account data:** On termination, including for non-use or non-payment, Customer Data may be permanently deleted. Download a copy first. Privacy requests go to privacy@mux.com.
