## Cancel in a web browser

> Business is $250 per organization per month plus usage, billed in arrears.

1. **Open the Billing page** Sign in to the MotherDuck UI and go to app.motherduck.com/settings/billing. Selecting a plan requires permission; the Admin preset role includes it.
2. **Select Lite if you are on Business** The docs list Continue with Lite Plan and Upgrade to Business Plan. MotherDuck may also permit a downgrade from a Commercial Account to a Free Account through the Services. Follow the plan-selection prompts shown on the Billing page.
3. **Stay inside Lite included usage if you want no further charges** Lite still bills pay-as-you-go compute and storage above 10 CU hours and 10 GB per month.

> **Warning:** A downgrade to a Free Account may remove functionality and destroy data. Exact labels after you are already on Business are not published; follow the prompts on the Billing page.

## Cancel a team plan

1. **Use an Admin role to change the plan** Changing plans and updating billing information require the corresponding platform permissions. The Admin preset role includes them by default.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** The Master Subscription Agreement states that all Fees are non-refundable except as otherwise expressly set forth in the Agreement. Business platform fees and usage are billed monthly in arrears.
- **Pausing:** No subscription pause is documented. Shutting down a Duckling stops that compute from accruing but does not cancel the Business platform fee.
- **Downgrading:** Select Lite on the Billing page to leave the $250 Business platform fee. A voluntary or automatic downgrade to a Free Account may result in lost functionality and destruction of data.
- **Account data:** Removing a member permanently deletes that user and all of their data. Deprovisioning keeps the account, databases and shares. Deleted data can remain in historical or failsafe storage stages and still affect the storage bill. No public self-serve delete-organization path is documented.

## At a glance

- Cancellation fee: None documented
- Refund window: None, except where terms allow
- Effective: When you leave Business; usage billed in arrears
