# How to cancel MasterClass

Cancel MasterClass in a web browser from Settings: under Membership, choose Cancel Membership and then Cancel Now. It takes about 2 minutes, and access continues until the renewal date. ## Cancel in a web browser

> Use a browser, including on a phone. The MasterClass app does not provide the website cancellation flow.

1. **Sign in through a web browser** Go to masterclass.com in a browser. MasterClass says cancellation cannot be completed in its app.
2. **Open Settings** Open the profile or account menu in the top-right corner, then select Settings.
3. **Choose Cancel Membership** In Account Settings, find the Membership section and click Cancel Membership.
4. **Confirm with Cancel Now** Select Cancel Now to complete the cancellation. Access continues until the renewal date.

> **Warning:** Amazon, Roku, Verizon +play and other partner-billed memberships must be managed with the provider that bills the subscription.

## Cancel on iPhone / iPad

> Use these steps only when Apple bills the MasterClass subscription. Apple handles refund requests for those purchases.

1. **Open Apple subscriptions** On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
2. **Select MasterClass** Choose the MasterClass subscription from the list.
3. **Tap Cancel Subscription** Tap Cancel Subscription. Access continues through the current billing period.

## Cancel on Android

> Use these steps only when Google Play bills the MasterClass subscription. Google Play's refund policy applies.

1. **Open Google Play subscriptions** On your Android device, open subscriptions in Google Play and make sure you are signed in to the Google Account that has the subscription.
2. **Select MasterClass** Choose the MasterClass subscription you want to cancel.
3. **Tap Cancel Subscription** Tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions. Access remains active for the time already paid.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** MasterClass's Core Product has a 30-day refund period after the initial purchase, subject to its policy. Renewal charges are not eligible for refunds, and payments are otherwise non-refundable with no credit for partially used periods. Apple, Google Play and other marketplace purchases follow that provider's refund policy.
- **Pausing:** No customer-controlled pause or membership hold is documented in MasterClass's membership, cancellation or terms pages.
- **Downgrading:** No free plan follows cancellation. Paid access continues until the renewal date and then ends. Website customers may change to another paid plan instead; a paid-plan downgrade takes effect on the annual renewal date.
