# How to cancel Linearity Curve

Cancel Linearity Curve on the platform that bills you: for App Store purchases open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions and Cancel Subscription; for linearity.io purchases billed through Stripe, email billing@linearity.io. It takes about 3 minutes, and Pro benefits stay active until the billing cycle ends. Refunds are possible within 14 days with conditions; cancelling by itself does not result in a refund.

## Cancel in a web browser

> Use these steps if you subscribed on linearity.io - those subscriptions are billed through Stripe and cancelled by emailing Linearity.

1. **Confirm your subscription is billed through Stripe** In Linearity Curve or Move, click the Account button in the top right corner, select 'Profile', then 'Manage Subscription' to see your plan type and status. Linearity's guide: payments are processed by the platform where you purchased - Stripe for web purchases, the App Store for in-app ones.
2. **Email billing@linearity.io to cancel** Linearity's guide: 'If you signed up for Linearity Pro through Stripe and would like to cancel, you can email us at billing@linearity.io.' Mention the email address your Linearity account is under.
3. **Keep Pro until the end of the billing cycle** Even if you cancel immediately after purchasing, your subscription benefits remain active until the end of the current billing cycle; the subscription just does not renew.

## Cancel on iPhone / iPad

> Use these steps if you subscribed inside the app - Apple bills those subscriptions, and only your Apple account can cancel them.

1. **Open Settings and tap your name** On the iPhone or iPad you subscribed with, open the Settings app and tap your name. Make sure you are signed in with the Apple account that bought the subscription - Linearity cannot cancel App Store subscriptions for you.
2. **Tap Subscriptions** The list shows every subscription billed to this Apple account.
3. **Tap the Linearity Pro subscription** Select Linearity Pro (Linearity Curve) from the list.
4. **Tap Cancel Subscription** Apple: 'You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button. If there is no Cancel button or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already canceled.'
5. **On a Mac: cancel via the App Store app** In the App Store app, click your name, then Account Settings, then Subscriptions, click the subscription and click Cancel Subscription.

> **Warning:** Uninstalling the app or deleting your Linearity account does not terminate the subscription. On a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid the yearly charge.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Linearity's Terms of Use give 14 days from the subscription confirmation email to withdraw; consenting to use the services during that period ends the right of withdrawal. Cancelling does not automatically result in a refund. App Store payments can only be refunded and approved by Apple - contact Apple Support within 14 days of purchase. Stripe (credit card) purchases can be refunded by contacting Linearity within 14 days, stating your account email, provided you have not started using the app.
- **Pausing:** No pause option is documented in Linearity's user guide.
- **Downgrading:** After cancelling you keep Linearity Pro benefits until the end of the current billing cycle, then the subscription simply does not renew. Your account and existing designs are not deleted, and Linearity's pricing includes a free plan; you can edit Pro designs again if you upgrade later.
- **Account data:** Cancelling does not delete your Linearity account or designs. Account deletion is a separate, automated in-app flow (Profile, 'Manage your account', 'Delete account', confirm with an emailed code) with a 30-day grace period, after which files stored in your Linearity account are permanently deleted; iCloud and locally stored files are unaffected. Deleting your account does not cancel a Linearity Pro subscription - cancel first.

## FAQ

**Where do I cancel my Linearity subscription?**

On the platform where you bought it. App Store subscriptions can only be cancelled through your Apple account; subscriptions bought on linearity.io (billed via Stripe) are cancelled by emailing billing@linearity.io.

**Does deleting the app or my Linearity account cancel the subscription?**

No. Linearity states that uninstalling the software or deleting your account does not automatically terminate your subscription - active cancellation is required.

**When does the cancellation take effect?**

At the end of the current billing cycle. Even if you cancel right after purchasing, Pro benefits stay active until the period ends; it just will not renew.

**Can I get a refund?**

You have 14 days from the subscription confirmation email. Apple alone approves refunds for App Store payments (contact Apple Support within 14 days); Stripe purchases can be refunded by Linearity within 14 days provided you have not started using the app.

**What happens to my designs after I cancel?**

The 7-day trial converts to a full yearly subscription charge through Apple. Linearity advises cancelling at least 24 hours before the trial ends; Apple handles activation, cancellation and fees.

**I cannot find the Cancel button in the App Store - why?**

Per Linearity, either you no longer have an active auto-renewing subscription (already cancelled), or you are not logged into the Apple account that made the purchase.
