# How to cancel Life360

Cancel Life360 in the app from Settings, Account, Cancel Membership, or on Life360.com from Manage Membership. App Store and Google Play purchases must also be cancelled in those stores. It takes about three minutes, the membership stays valid until the paid period ends, and Life360 does not refund unused time.

## Cancel in a web browser

> Website-billed Android users cancel on Life360.com, not in the app.

1. **Log in on Life360.com** Sign in to the account that owns the membership. If you bought the plan on the website and use Android, you must cancel here.
2. **Open Manage Membership** If you do not see Manage Membership and the app has no Cancel Membership control, another Circle member is the subscriber.
3. **Tap Cancel Subscription** The terms also describe scrolling to the cancellation section and selecting the Paid Membership.

> **Warning:** Deleting the app, deleting the account or leaving a Circle does not cancel the membership.

## Cancel on iPhone / iPad

> If Apple billed you, also cancel in Apple Subscriptions so the recurring charge stops.

1. **Open Settings, then Account** In the Life360 app, tap Settings, then Account, then Cancel Membership. Review the plan, tap Cancel Membership again, choose a reason, tap Continue, then tap Yes, Confirm Cancellation.
2. **Finish in Apple Subscriptions if Apple billed you** The app redirects to the App Store. Tap Life360, then tap Cancel Subscription. You can also open iPhone Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Life360, then tap Cancel Subscription.

> **Warning:** Life360 cannot cancel an App Store membership for you.

## Cancel on Android

> Monthly Google Play memberships can be paused for one to three months instead of cancelled.

1. **Open Settings, then Account** In the Life360 app, tap Settings, then Account, then Cancel Membership and complete the confirmation prompts.
2. **Finish in Google Play if Google billed you** Open Google Play, tap the profile icon, tap Payments & subscriptions, tap Life360, then tap Cancel Subscription. Monthly Play memberships can Pause payments instead.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Life360 does not refund unused subscription time, license or subscription fees, content or data, or anything else, except where a cooling-off right or law requires otherwise. An annual plan cancelled two months in keeps the remaining ten paid months.
- **Pausing:** Monthly Google Play memberships can be paused for one, two or three months, up to three times in 12 months. Annual memberships cannot be paused. During a pause, benefits stop and the Circle switches to Free. No pause is documented for App Store or Life360.com billing.
- **Downgrading:** After cancellation, paid features stay until the paid period ends, then the Circle uses the Free membership. Life360 does not document self-serve steps to switch Silver, Gold or Platinum mid-term.
- **Account data:** Deleting the account permanently deletes all history and driving events and cannot be undone. Life360 emails a confirmation link and requires a captcha. Deleting the account, deleting the app or leaving a Circle does not cancel the membership.
