# How to cancel Kapwing

Cancel Kapwing from the paid workspace by opening Settings, Billing and Cancel Subscription, then complete the survey and confirmation. It takes about 2 minutes. Paid features remain through the billing cycle, then the workspace returns to Free limits. Kapwing does not issue refunds after subscription upgrade.

## Cancel in a web browser

1. **Open the paid workspace** Sign in and select the workspace whose Pro or Business plan should stop renewing.
2. **Open Billing** Go to the workspace Settings and select the Billing tab.
3. **Cancel the subscription** Click Cancel Subscription near the bottom, review the changes, answer the survey and confirm cancellation.
4. **Check the downgrade date** Confirm that Plan Information shows the plan as canceled and records when the workspace will downgrade.

## Cancel a team plan

1. **Review paid seats** Kapwing bills paid workspaces per member. Remove unneeded seats in Billing before renewal; removing a member alone does not refund or always remove the seat.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Kapwing does not issue subscription refunds after a customer upgrades and does not refund a seat removed during a billing cycle. Its policy may provide an account credit, not a refund, for an eligible unresolved technical issue.
- **Pausing:** No subscription pause option is documented in Kapwing's current pricing and subscription FAQ.
