# How to cancel GitLab Duo Agent Platform

Cancel the GitLab subscription that provides Duo from the Customers Portal: open Subscription actions, choose Cancel subscription and confirm at least 30 days before expiry. It takes about 3 minutes and access lasts through the paid term. Ordinary paid and prepaid fees are non-refundable unless the agreement expressly says otherwise.

## Cancel in a web browser

> Duo access is attached to GitLab plans and credits, so cancel the containing GitLab subscription.

1. **Open the Customers Portal** Sign in at customers.gitlab.com and open Subscriptions & purchases.
2. **Find the subscription that provides Duo** Locate the Premium, Ultimate or other GitLab subscription linked to the namespace and confirm its renewal date.
3. **Choose Cancel subscription** Open Subscription actions on that card and select Cancel subscription.
4. **Confirm non-renewal** Select a reason, optionally add feedback and confirm. Save proof that the card now shows an expiry date instead of auto-renewal.

> **Warning:** Submit the cancellation at least 30 days before the term expires.

## Cancel a team plan

> Order forms and committed GitLab Credits can have additional terms.

1. **Use the subscription contact** An authorized subscription contact should cancel the plan. Contact GitLab Support if the contact or portal access must be changed.
2. **Check the namespace and credits** Confirm which top-level group owns the subscription and review any separate committed GitLab Credits or order-form terms.
3. **Meet the notice deadline** Submit non-renewal no later than 30 days before the subscription term expires.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** GitLab's current Subscription Agreement says paid or due fees, including prepaid amounts, are non-refundable unless an express remedy applies. A prorated refund is available when a customer terminates for GitLab's uncured material breach.
- **Pausing:** No customer-controlled pause is documented for GitLab subscriptions or GitLab Duo access. The documented option is to stop renewal.
- **Downgrading:** After a GitLab.com paid subscription expires, paid Duo entitlements end while Free-tier GitLab features remain. Included and purchased GitLab Credits follow the applicable subscription or commitment terms.
- **Account data:** Stopping renewal does not delete the GitLab.com namespace because Free-tier features remain. Account deletion is separate and can delete projects in the user's namespace; pending deletion generally finishes in one or two hours but can take up to seven days for accounts tied to contributions.

## At a glance

## FAQ

**Does GitLab Duo have a separate cancellation button?**

The current Duo Agent Platform is provided through GitLab plans and GitLab Credits. Cancel the containing subscription in the Customers Portal and review any separate commitment.

**When does GitLab Duo access end?**

The paid subscription remains active through its term. Duo entitlements tied to it end when the paid plan or applicable credits are no longer active.

**Does GitLab refund unused annual time?**

Not for an ordinary cancellation. The Subscription Agreement says paid and prepaid fees are non-refundable unless an express remedy applies.

**Will cancelling GitLab Duo delete repositories?**

No. Stopping renewal leaves the GitLab.com namespace on Free-tier features. Account deletion is a separate action.
