# How to cancel Fotor

Cancel Fotor from the Account Setting page on fotor.com: choose Subscription, click Manage Plan, select Cancel your subscription and confirm with Downgrade to free plan. It takes about 2 minutes; cancel at least one day before renewal, and Pro or Pro+ benefits last until the end of the current subscription period. Fotor normally does not refund already paid fees.

## Cancel in a web browser

1. **Go to Account Setting and choose Subscription** Sign in at fotor.com and open the Account Setting page (fotor.com/user/settings), then choose Subscription.
2. **Click Manage Plan, then Cancel your subscription** Click Manage Plan. On the Available actions page, select Cancel your subscription.
3. **Confirm with Downgrade to free plan** On the confirmation page, click Downgrade to free plan to complete the cancellation. You keep Pro or Pro+ benefits until the end of the current subscription period.
4. **Cancel at least one day before renewal** Fotor's terms require the cancellation request at least 24 hours before the current subscription period expires, and Fotor recommends cancelling at least one day in advance because charges can be processed a few hours early.

> **Warning:** If a renewal charge fails, Fotor retries the deduction several times until it succeeds. Cancelling during that window only stops the next renewal - the fee for the failed deduction is still collected.

## Cancel on iPhone / iPad

> Use these steps only if you subscribed inside the iOS or Mac app. A subscription started on fotor.com must be cancelled on the website.

1. **Open Settings and tap your name** On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app and tap your name. Fotor also describes this path as: App Store, tap your avatar, then subscription management.
2. **Tap Subscriptions** You will see the subscriptions tied to your Apple Account.
3. **Tap the Fotor subscription** Fotor lists it as 'Fotor/Goart - Photo Editor, Designer' in its help article.
4. **Tap Cancel Subscription** You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button. If there is no Cancel button or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already canceled.

## Cancel on Android

1. **Open your subscriptions in Google Play** On your Android device, go to subscriptions in Google Play (Play Store, profile icon, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions).
2. **Select the Fotor or Goart subscription** Fotor tells subscribers to check Subscription Management in the Google Play Store and cancel the Fotor/Goart subscription there.
3. **Tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions** You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Note that uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.

> **Warning:** Uninstalling the Fotor app does not cancel the subscription - cancel it in Google Play.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Cancelling stops the renewal only - it is not a refund. Fotor normally does not offer refunds for already paid fees, and its Terms of Service state subscription fees are not refundable because the service is delivered instantly on payment. For payment questions contact support@fotor.com with your account email and payment receipt. One documented exception: when you upgrade from an active Pro plan to Pro+, Fotor refunds part of the Pro fee based on the used period.
- **Pausing:** No pause option is documented in Fotor's help center.
- **Downgrading:** After cancelling you keep Pro or Pro+ benefits until the next charging time, then the account reverts to the free Fotor Basic plan (limited credits, basic tools, watermarked exports). If you cancel by accident you can resume the renewal by clicking Restore Subscription before the paid period ends. One Fotor account and subscription works across web, iOS, Android, Mac and Windows.
- **Account data:** Cancelling does not delete the account - you can keep using free features with the same login. Account deletion is separate: with no active subscription you can delete your account yourself from the account page; while a subscription is active, or cancelled but not yet expired, self-serve deletion is blocked and you must ask Fotor support (support@fotor.com) with your account email or Fotor ID.

## FAQ

**Do I lose Pro features immediately when I cancel Fotor?**

No. Fotor stops the recurring payment but you keep Pro or Pro+ benefits until the next charging time, then the account reverts to the free Basic plan.

**Can I get a refund from Fotor?**

Normally no. Cancellation only stops the renewal, and Fotor's terms state subscription fees are not refundable. Contact support@fotor.com with your payment receipt for payment problems.

**I am on the 7-day free trial - when should I cancel?**

At least one day before the trial ends. Fotor warns the charge can be processed a few hours early due to regional and network delays, and a successful post-trial deduction is not refunded.

**I subscribed through the App Store or Google Play - where do I cancel?**

In the store you bought it from: iOS/Mac subscriptions under your Apple Account's Subscriptions, Android subscriptions in Google Play's Subscription Management. The Fotor website cannot cancel a store subscription.

**I cancelled by accident - can I undo it?**

Yes. Before the paid period ends you can resume the renewal by clicking Restore Subscription on the subscription page.

**Does deleting the app or my account stop the billing?**

No. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription, and Fotor blocks self-serve account deletion while a subscription is active or not yet expired - cancel the subscription first.
