# How to cancel Fillout

Cancel Fillout from Settings > Billing & usage by opening the paid subscription and selecting Cancel. It takes about a minute, stays active until the renewal date and then downgrades to Free. Limited refund windows depend on tenure, timing and usage.

## Cancel in a web browser

1. **Open Billing & usage** Sign in, open Settings and select Billing & usage. An organization admin must manage the subscription.
2. **Modify the subscription** Open the current paid plan and select Modify.
3. **Select Cancel** Select Cancel and confirm. The plan remains active until its renewal date and then downgrades to Free.

## Cancel a team plan

1. **Use an organization admin account** Only an organization admin can manage the Fillout subscription.
2. **Review paid features** Forms and submissions remain viewable after downgrade, but paid features stop.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** New customers can request a full refund after cancelling in their first month when usage was minimal. Existing customers can request a refund within 14 days of an upgrade or renewal if usage stayed at or below the previous plan; later eligible adjustments are account credit.
- **Pausing:** No subscription pause option is documented in Fillout's billing, cancellation, pricing or terms pages.
- **Downgrading:** The paid plan stays active until the renewal date and then downgrades to Free. Forms and submissions remain viewable, while paid features stop.
- **Account data:** Cancellation does not delete forms or submissions. Organization deletion is separate, irreversible and requires first downgrading a paid plan, deleting all forms and emptying Trash.
