# How to cancel Depot

Cancel Depot by emailing help@depot.dev. It takes a few minutes to send; the service stays active for the paid billing period. Payments are billed in advance and are non-refundable, with no credits for partial months or downgrades.

## Cancel in a web browser

> Organization Settings show plan and billing details and open the Stripe Billing Portal for invoices. Cancellation itself is email to help@depot.dev.

1. **Email help@depot.dev to cancel** The terms say you can cancel your Account at any time by emailing help@depot.dev. Depot does not publish an in-app Cancel button label.
2. **Name the organization** To delete an organization, send a request to help@depot.dev and include the organization name so associated projects and runners can be removed.
3. **Confirm the paid period** The service remains active for the length of the paid billing period. There are no refunds or credits for partial months.

> **Warning:** Depot does not document an in-app Cancel control. Email is the documented cancellation path.

## Cancel a team plan

> Use this path when an owner must cancel organization billing, including Business invoice accounts.

1. **Only owners manage billing** Owners manage organization settings such as billing, payments and the Stripe Billing Portal in organization Settings. Members cannot.
2. **Business invoice accounts** Business supports invoice, ACH and AWS Marketplace billing. Invoice amounts are non-refundable except as otherwise provided in the terms.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** For monthly or yearly payment plans, the Service is billed in advance and is non-refundable. There will be no refunds or credits for partial months of service, downgrade refunds, or refunds for months unused with an open Account. Invoice amounts are non-refundable except as otherwise provided in the agreement.
- **Pausing:** No subscription pause option is documented. Usage caps stop builds until the next month or until you raise the cap; they are not a pause of the plan.
- **Downgrading:** You may change your level of service at any time on the Settings page for the organization. If you downgrade, you may lose access to Content, features, or capacity.
- **Account data:** Barring legal requirements, Depot will delete your full profile and the Content of your repositories within 90 days of cancellation or termination. Some information may remain in encrypted backups. You may request a copy of lawful Account contents within 90 days.
