# How to cancel CookUnity

Cancel CookUnity in Account > Settings > Cancel Subscription; it takes about three minutes. It stops future weeks, but an order already processed and billed remains active. Payments are generally nonrefundable, although a meal problem reported within two days may qualify for a credit or refund.

## Cancel in a web browser

> Use the CookUnity subscription account. UnityPass has a separate cancellation control in Settings.

1. **Sign in to CookUnity** Open subscription.cookunity.com and sign in to the subscription you want to cancel.
2. **Open Settings** Select the Account icon at the bottom left, then choose Settings.
3. **Choose Cancel Subscription** Scroll to the bottom of Settings and select Cancel Subscription.
4. **Confirm the cancellation** Choose a reason, check the confirmation box and select Cancel my subscription. Check the subscription status and confirmation email before leaving.

> **Warning:** Cancelling does not remove a box that was already processed and billed.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Cancellation stops future weekly orders but does not automatically cancel an order that CookUnity already processed and billed. CookUnity says payments are generally nonrefundable. A meal issue reported within two days may receive a credit or refund at CookUnity's discretion.
- **Pausing:** The meal plan can be paused for 2 to 8 weeks. An eligible UnityPass does not pause with the meal plan and must be paused separately; UnityPass allows up to two months of pause in a year under its documented limits.
- **Downgrading:** Members can change the weekly plan size rather than cancel. There is no free meal plan. UnityPass is a separate paid add-on and can be cancelled without cancelling the weekly meal subscription.
- **Account data:** Cancelling the meal subscription does not delete the account. CookUnity warns that available credits may be lost after cancellation. A privacy deletion request is separate, and CookUnity may retain information needed for legal, accounting, reporting and dispute purposes.
