# How to cancel ClickHouse Cloud

Cancel ClickHouse Cloud by exporting your data and deleting every Cloud service with the official clickhousectl CLI. Deletion is destructive. Pay-as-you-go usage is billed in arrears, so consumed usage can still appear on a final invoice; no standard cancellation refund is published.

## Cancel in a web browser

> Deleting a service stops future service usage, but usage already consumed is still billed in arrears.

1. **Export the data you need** Deleting a ClickHouse Cloud service is destructive. Export or move every database you need to retain before continuing.
2. **Delete each Cloud service** Use the official clickhousectl CLI to delete each Cloud service. A write-capable API key is required for destructive operations. Repeat this for every billable service.
3. **Check the final invoice** Pay-as-you-go usage is billed monthly in arrears. Already consumed usage can therefore appear after service deletion.

> **Warning:** Service deletion is destructive and no public recovery window is promised.

## Cancel a team plan

1. **Follow the active Order Form** Committed and Enterprise subscriptions can have order-specific terms. The general terms only allow written notice when no active Order Form remains.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** ClickHouse publishes no standard refund for a customer-initiated cancellation. Its general terms only describe limited refunds for specific termination-for-breach situations.
- **Pausing:** Some ClickHouse Cloud services can scale to zero and stop compute charges while idle. This is not a subscription pause, and storage or other usage can remain billable.
- **Downgrading:** ClickHouse Cloud has no published permanent free hosted plan. Lowering resources or deleting services reduces future usage charges.
- **Account data:** Service deletion is destructive. The public Cloud materials do not promise a post-deletion recovery window, so export data before deleting a service.
