It takes about 2 minutes, and course access lasts until the paid period expires. Babbel's terms include a 14-day withdrawal right; App Store refunds go through Apple.

## Cancel in a web browser

> Use Account Information on babbel.com only when Babbel bills the subscription.

1. **Go to babbel.com and log in** Use the Babbel account that pays for the subscription.
2. **Open Profile and settings** Click the profile icon in the top right corner and choose Profile and settings.
3. **Open Account Information** Open Account Information from the left of the page.
4. **Click Cancel auto-renewal** Choose the subscription and click the Cancel auto-renewal button. If that button is missing, the subscription will not renew and the expiration date is shown in the subscription information. Access continues until the subscription expires.

## Cancel on iPhone / iPad

> Use Apple Settings when the App Store bills the subscription.

1. **Open Apple Subscriptions** If you subscribed using the Apple App Store, go to Settings on iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
2. **Select Babbel and confirm cancellation** Select Babbel and confirm the cancellation. Deleting the Babbel app or account does not cancel App Store billing.

> **Warning:** Deleting the Babbel app or account does not cancel Apple billing.

## Cancel on Android

> Use Google Play when Play bills the subscription.

1. **Open Google Play subscriptions** If you subscribed using Google Play, open the Play Store, tap the profile icon, then choose Payment and subscriptions and then Subscriptions.
2. **Select Babbel and cancel** Select Babbel and tap Cancel subscription. Deleting the Babbel app or account does not cancel Play billing.

> **Warning:** Deleting the Babbel app or account does not cancel Google Play billing.

## Cancel a team plan

1. **Cancel a Group Plan as the admin** Only the admin can terminate the Group Plan from Account Information. If the admin cancels, every member keeps access until the end of the current billing period. Deleting the admin account while the plan is active ends access for the whole group.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Babbel End User Terms include a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day the contract is concluded, exercised by emailing support@babbel.com or via Withdraw from contract here on Account Information. During a Renewal Service Term, clause 12.3 describes a one-month notice and a pro rata refund of remaining Service Fees. Cancelling an individual plan to join a Group Plan does not refund unused time. App Store purchases follow Apple's agreement for refunds.
- **Pausing:** No pause option is documented on Babbel's cancellation, subscription, pricing, Group Plan or End User Terms pages.
- **Downgrading:** After you cancel auto-renewal, you keep access to your courses until the subscription expires. Changing duration on babbel.com cancels the current subscription unless it was bought from Apple or Google Play, and remaining paid time is added to the new period. Apple-billed plans must be cancelled in Apple before you change plans. After expiry, paid self-study access ends; Babbel still documents free lessons.
- **Account data:** Deleting the Babbel app or the Babbel account does not cancel the subscription. Account deletion permanently removes learning progress, review items, streak and course history after you confirm a link in email. Cancel app-store billing in the store first. Group members who leave lose content access immediately but keep their account and progress.
