# How to cancel Airbyte

Cancel Airbyte Cloud by emailing support@airbyte.io, and review Organization settings > Billing first. You must cancel before the subscription period ends or the next period is billed. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where Airbyte's terms say a pro-rata refund applies.

Hosted data-replication service that syncs sources to destinations on usage credits or capacity. This is Airbyte Cloud, not self-hosted Core and not Airbyte Agents.

## Cancel in a web browser

> This is Airbyte Cloud data replication on cloud.airbyte.com, not Airbyte Agents and not self-hosted Core.

1. **Sign in as Organization Admin** Cloud billing can only be managed with the Organization Admin role.
2. **Open Organization settings, then Billing** In the navigation bar click Organization settings, then Billing. Review the subscription, payment method and upcoming invoice.
3. **Email support@airbyte.io to cancel** Airbyte Cloud's public billing article does not document a Cancel button. The Terms say you must cancel before the period ends, and you may terminate the Account by contacting support@airbyte.io.
4. **Optionally delete workspaces** Workspace settings > General > Delete your workspace, type the workspace name, then Delete workspace. That permanently deletes sources, destinations and connections. It is not documented as the way to stop the organization subscription.

> **Warning:** Deleting a workspace is not documented as cancelling the organization subscription.

## Cancel a team plan

> Standard is credit-card self-serve for billing details. Cancelling still goes through support@airbyte.io.

1. **Pro and Enterprise Flex go through Sales** Those plans are talk-to-sales. Terms still require cancelling before the period ends and terminating the account via support@airbyte.io unless the Service Order says otherwise.

## Refunds, pausing, downgrades and your data

- **Refunds:** Terms say all fees are in US dollars and are non-refundable. Prepaid fees stay non-refundable if you terminate the account, except a pro-rata refund of unused prepaid fees if you terminate for Airbyte's material breach or if Airbyte makes a material adverse change to a paid service.
- **Pausing:** No Cloud subscription pause is documented. Running out of credits does not pause syncs; Airbyte bills additional credits in arrears.
- **Downgrading:** Cloud billing docs describe upgrading Standard to Plus from the Billing page. They do not document a self-serve downgrade. Terms require cancelling before the period ends to avoid the next charge.
- **Account data:** Replicated data is purged after transfer and is not persistently stored. Deleting a workspace permanently deletes its sources, destinations and connections. After account termination, Terms say submitted information may no longer be accessed and Airbyte has no obligation to keep it.

## At a glance

- Cancellation fee: None documented
- Refund window: None, except documented breach cases
- Effective: Cancel before period end
- Free plan after: Self-hosted Core only

## FAQ

**How do I cancel Airbyte Cloud?**

Email support@airbyte.io. Review Organization settings > Billing first. Cloud docs do not publish a self-serve Cancel button.

**When do I need to cancel to avoid another charge?**

Before the end of the current subscription period. Otherwise the next period is billed automatically.

**Are fees refundable?**

No, except a documented pro-rata refund of unused prepaid fees if you terminate for Airbyte's material breach or for a material adverse product change.

**Does deleting a workspace cancel billing?**

Not according to the docs. Deleting a workspace removes that workspace's connectors. The organization subscription is cancelled through support.

**Does Airbyte keep a copy of my synced data?**

For Cloud replication, data is purged after transfer. Airbyte says it does not persistently store replicated data.

**Is this the same as cancelling Airbyte Agents?**

No. Agents has its own Billing page and a Change your plan flow. This guide is Airbyte Cloud data replication.
